Hello!
I’m Ka’el, a photographer based in Portland, Oregon.
My love for making pictures began when I was 15, spending hours in my high school darkroom experimenting with film and capturing candid moments of friends and family. Ages before digital took over, I always carried a disposable or Polaroid camera, always documenting little moments in my life.
Today, that same love drives my work. I’m drawn to stories, whether it’s the emotion of a portrait, the energy of a musician on stage, the unique identity of a brand and little moments I find while out in the world. I very much enjoy collaboration and building creative projects with others as well.
Travel is another thing that inspires me. Exploring new places and cultures fuels my perspective, and I love documenting the world through my lens in ways that feel both personal and universal.
